Electric Line Technician Training School

The Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives (VMDAEC) is the trade association of the 16 member-owned electric cooperatives that serve the three Mid-Atlantic states. VMDAEC operates a training school for new and veteran electric line technicians on the George Washington Carver Technical Center campus.
Courses include an apprentice program for prospective line technicians and advanced courses in electric theory, construction and maintenance of electric transmission systems, proper work procedures and record keeping, personal safety and first-aid training and other skills.

Programs are open to employees of VMDAEC member cooperatives, selected municipal utilities and contracting firms.

All courses are taught by experienced and certified VMDAEC instructors.
